I also earn money to purchase supplies to make pictures, crosses, and cards to include inside the boxes. www.navigators.orgI have a passion for helping people and serving God. When I see people on the streets, it affects my heart and I want to help them. I learned to make hats and scarves and enjoy donating them to people in need. I love to volunteer at the Rescue Mission and see the peoples' faces light up in the worship services, when their lives may not be going so well. I believe the best thing we can do is serve others and help to spread God's love to people.
vegasrescue.orgI have been blessed with a wonderful family and a great life. My church, Hope Church Las Vegas, started the Foster for Hope program. I had heard of families helping kids that had no one and nothing. I asked my parents if we could change someone's life by becoming a foster family. They agreed, and about two months later my brother arrived. When he arrived, he came with nothing, and that is one of the reasons why I want to create the Klothes for Kids closet. To give other foster kids the opportunity to get cool clothes they will like and want to wear for free. I believe it is one way I can support and foster hope in our community.
www.fosteringhopelv.comMy world changing efforts are inspired by my dad. My dad has always had a soft spot for children and their causes. His passion to always help has been my inspiration. Lossing my dad at 15 has been hard, but I have found my happy place on the ice, doing what I love, figure skating. I want to work with young children who love ice skating as much as I do. It is my hope to mix my love of skating and desire to help children together to help them accomplish their dreams.
